Who We Are

Who are the Secular Franciscans of the St. Bernardine of Siena Fraternity?

We are brothers and sisters of the Secular Franciscan Order committed by profession to living the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. As a community we help bring about the Kingdom of God by making our Fraternity a living example of Franciscan virtues through shared prayer, stewardship, apostolic activities and working for social justice.

We exercise our commitment to the Gospel by actively seeking Christ in others and serving as credible witnesses to the Catholic faith through the example and charism of St. Francis of Assisi.

If you are interested in sharing a rich calling that asks only that you share your love of the Gospel with a like minded community, come join us! We meet on the first Sunday of the month at Resurrection Catholic Church in Wayne, IL in the St. Francis room. We share lunch at 12pm and meet at 1pm until about 3pm.

Our fraternity is part of the Mother Cabrini Regional Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order in the USA. We are bonded to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Province.
